Lofotr Borg Viking MuseumThis extraordinary museum is located in an area of the Lofoten Islands called Borg. It is actually reconstructed from the former home of a chieftain discovered during an archaeological dig that uncovered many items from both the Viking Age and the Bronze Age. Visitors can explore carefully designed exhibitions, reconstructions, and displays of domesticated animals that had an important place during the Viking Age.

Dagfin Bakke’s GalleryThis gallery is privately owned by the artist Dagfinn Bakke. He calls the Lofoten Islands his home and works as a painter, illustrator, and graphic artist. His works have been exhibited in galleries around the world and are currently on display in other public galleries as well. You can enjoy his art or if you are truly touched by a piece, they are available for purchase as well.

Kabelvag Lofoten aquarium
A living museum, this is the aquarium of the Lofoten Islands. It incorporates the lush natural environment and offers exhibitions of over 20 types of wildlife including unusual fish and varieties of seals. A visit to this Lofoten museum is an ideal complement to a whale watching tour through the surrounding water.

The Norwegian Fishing Village Museum
This museum was created as a collaboration between the Moskenes History and Museum Society and the Moskenes municipal council along with Mr. Sigurd Harald Ellingsen. Visitors to the museum get a unique perspective on life within the fishing village, particularly the Lofoten Fishery, over the last two decades. It’s coastal location makes it a lovely addition to a day spent enjoying the landscape.

Lofoten House Gallery
This gallery is dedicated to pieces that were created during what is known as the golden age of Norwegian art, particularly oil paintings. A virtual exhibit also welcomes visitors to experience the four seasons of the Lofoten Islands.
